On April 4^th and 5^th (Thursday and Friday) 2019 at 09:00 in the conference hall of the family hotel "Enchevi", Kirkovo Municipality, a two-day training aimed at improved quality of the wine on theme "The correct techniques for processing the local varieties of grapes", D3.7.4, was be held.

The event was implemented within the framework of project "Developing Identity ON Yield, SOil and Site", with acronym: DIONYSOS, Grant Contract В2.6с.04/01.11.2017, Cooperation Program INTERREG V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.

On 1 and 2 of April 2019 in the Conference Hall of the Cultural Center Harmanli, a Training of Wine Growers and Wine-makers was held on the topic: The correct techniques for processing the local varieties of grapes for improving the quality of the wine, organized under the project "Developing Identity ON Yield, SOil and Site" with acronym: DIONYSOS, as per subsidy contract No В2.6с.04/01.11.2017.

This is the first of the three trainings provided by the project activities, organized by the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is one of the eight DIONYSOS project partners. The lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iliyan Simeonov and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolai Genov from the Institute of Viticulture and Wine Production in Pleven presented: The directions in the development of viticulture and wine production in Haskovo region; the stages, rules and methods for building new vine plantations as well as legislation; requirements and recommendations for vine planting material and methods for conservation of vines from economically important diseases and pests in Haskovo district. More than 30 wine growers and wine-makers took part in the training, who got acquainted with the results of the identification of local varieties of vines in the Dionysos surveyed vineyards by molecular (DNA) methods. The training ended with a discussion of the state, trends and problems of wine production in Haskovo region.

Municipality of Kirkovo invites all interested parties, media and the general public to get acquainted with the objectives, activities and expected results of the project.

The aim of the project is to build an identity of the cross-border region in the local agricultural sector in order to increase the tourist flow and ensure sustainable development and biodiversity.

On February 15, 2019 was held Wine Fest DIONYSOS under Project Developing Identity ON Yield: SOil and Site, acronym DIONYSOS, Subsidy contract No В2.6с.04/01.11.2017 under the Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A Greece - Bulgaria 2014-2020.

The purpose of the project is to popularize the local grape sorts, the quality wines produced by them, and to present the region to the locals and its visitors as an attractive wine tourism destination. Haskovo chamber of commerce and industry, one of the eight project partners, was the organizer of the successful event, which was attended by more than 200 guests - representatives of the wine-production, food-production, hotel and restaurants, industry sectors, state agencies, diplomats, accredited in Bulgaria and many other guests and connoisseurs of wine and culinary.

At the Festival, the project partners presented the wine DIONYSOS produced by a recipe for coupage of local sorts. The guests were able to taste the wines of proven local wineries as Yamantiev's, Malkata Zvezda, Chateau Kolarovo, Thracian Wine, Dionis, Katarzyna Estate, Zaara Estate, Castra Rubra and Wine House Lozev.

On 13 of February 2018 in the hall of Municipal Administration – Haskovo was held the second partnership meeting under Project "Developing Identity ON Yield, SOil and Site" - DIONYSOS, as per subsidy contract No В2.6с.04 under Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020. HCCI is one of is one of the eight Project Beneficiaries and was the organizer and host of this meeting.

Lead Beneficiary is the "Department of Food Science & Human Nutrition - Agricultural University of Athens". The Project is under priority axis 2 - a sustainable and climate adaptable cross-border area, and investment priority 6с - conserving, protecting, promoting and developing natural and cultural heritage.

Στις 4 και 5 Δεκεμβρίου 2017, έλαβε χώρα στο δημαρχείο Παγγαίου στην Ελευθερούπολη η εναρκτήρια συνάντηση εργασίας των εταίρων του έργου DIONYSOS που υλοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος «INTERREG V-A ΕΛΛΑΔΑ-ΒΟΥΛΓΑΡΙΑ 2014-2020».

Η συνάντηση οργανώθηκε και φιλοξενήθηκε από την Αναπτυξιακή Καβάλας-Αναπτυξιακή Ανώνυμη Εταιρεία ΟΤΑ, η οποία είναι εταίρος στο έργο, με συντονιστή εταίρο το Τμήμα Επιστήμης Τροφίμων και Διατροφής του Ανθρώπου του Γεωπονικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (Εργαστήριο Οινολογίας).

Βασικός στόχος του έργου DIONYSOS, είναι η αξιοποίηση των φυσικών και πολιτιστικών πόρων για την ανάπτυξη οινοτουρισμού και την ενίσχυση της ελκυστικότητας της περιοχής με παράλληλη διατήρηση του τοπικού φυσικού τοπίου και της βιοποικιλότητας. Έτσι, το έργο ενισχύει την παραγωγή παλαιών τοπικών ποικιλιών, αναδεικνύει την τοπική ταυτότητα του προϊόντος και εφαρμόζει ολοκληρωμένη προσέγγιση στην ανάδειξη της περιοχής ως οινοτουριστικό προορισμό.

Στο δημαρχείο Παγγαίου θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Δευτέρα 4 και την Τρίτη 5 Δεκεμβρίου 2017 διήμερη συνάντηση των εταίρων που προγράμματος "DIONYSOS" - Developing Identity ON Yield, SOil and Site, του οποίου βασικός εταίρος είναι η Αναπτυξιακή Καβάλας ΑΑΕ ΟΤΑ.

Το πρόγραμμα στοχεύει στην προώθηση της περιοχής του Παγγαίου ως προορισμός οινοτουρισμού. Η εν λόγω τουριστική πτυχή δύναται να ενισχύσει το ήδη έντονο, ενδιαφέρον για την περιοχή του Παγγαίου, καθώς και να συμβάλλει στην αύξησης της επισκεψιμότητας από όλο τον κόσμο.
