Melina Tasou, a pioneer among the wineries in Rhodopi region, founded the winery in 2004. The name of the cellar comes from an ancient Thracian tribe, known for their fine wines. On an area of 10 hectares of own vineyards in the area of Maronia, the company grows organically local grape varieties of Malaguzia and Limnio, as well as five foreign ones, including Sangiovese and Syrah. The cellar is 5 km away from Komotini (Neo Sidirochori). Tourists are welcome to visit and taste throughout the year by prior request. Optionally, a special tour to the vineyards of Maronia or the ancient wine presses of Kikones tribe can be organized.
